Caregiving 2007 Understanding the importance of physical touch and individual attention, Hope's Heart supports programs that promote caregiving in an environment of loving interaction with the children. A primary project area of caregiving is through auntie/nanny programs. Through these programs Chinese ladies, some retired teachers and nurses, aid the orphanage staff. Their ongoing care and special attention contributes greatly to the physical, emotional, and mental development of the orphans. |

Loving Care
February 2007- If you've ever left your child with a caregiver, you know how critically important it is to have a loving, caring, competent individual who you can trust. The care and attention given to China's orphans is no less important. We are pleased to provide a one year sponsorship to a special lady who is devoted to the special needs babies in her care. Each day she sees to the babies every need, and instills within the realization that they are loved and valued.
Caregiving Sponsorships Continue from 2006
January 2007- Two caregivers, sponsored in 2006, continue to give individual attention and stimulation to the babies/toddlers in their care. Great progress is being made in the area of growth and development because of the focus on the unique needs of each child. The sponsoring of additional ayis/nannies brings an increased quality of care for children residing in institutional settings. You can read more on the Caregiving 06 project page.
January UPDATE- The sparkling personalities of the children are being seen more and more. The individual attention given by the caregivers is helping with limb and muscle development, imitation, and a focus on language/speech. We are grateful for the amazing differences these children are exhibiting because of those who have made their growth possible.
