Thurman Mitchell Passion Awards
2007 Award
With a combination of humility, gratitude and excitement, Hope's Heart Orphan Foundation was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Servant Christian Community Foundation for the continued outreach to China's orphan population. We are extremely blessed to have been chosen once again to be a recipient in recognition of our ministry to the orphan community. On behalf of the orphans of China we extend our sincere appreciation for this gift which will assist us in our mission to 'Serve Orphans with a Passion to Enrich Their Lives'.
2006 Award
For a second year, Hope's Heart was privileged to be chosen to receive a grant for their continuing ministry to China's orphans. Presented at the Thurman Mitchell Servant Leadership Awards on November 6, 2006, the $10,000 grant award will bless China's children without families by providing for the establishment of a school within an orphanage setting. Special needs orphans who are unable to attend public school will be treated to the resources for growth and development that they otherwise would never experience. This school program will communicate to the children that they are valued and loved. The award was provided by the Servant Christian Community Foundation (SCCF), whose vision is creating a culture of giving in order to advance the kingdom of God.
2005 Award
Hope's Heart Orphan Foundation was honored to be a grant recipient of a Thurman Mitchell Passion Award during a banquet held Monday evening, November 7, 2005 at the Overland Park Convention Center. We gratefully accepted this $5,000 grant on behalf of China's orphans. The funds will be used to provide surgeries as well as for nutritional programs. |
